Welcome to Lakeside Market & Grill!

Well, we did it- Lakeside Market & Grill is open for business! Located on beautiful Lake Wedowee, we are operating a restaurant, c-store, gas station, campground, boat launch, and boat storage for your enjoyment. Poppa (John Tinney) has worked so hard to get this family project off the ground and we are thrilled to be done with the construction phase. Now our focus is providing quality service and great food. If you are in the Lake Wedowee area, come try us out. I am posting our menu and directions on our website http://www.lakesidewedowee.com/. Thanks!!

Grammy & Poppa will all the grand kids on opening day in their matching "work" shirts. Grammy paid each one $2 for their "work" for the day. Abe is not in the photo but did earn his money doing p.r. work!

Mrs. Marie (our store manager) was so sweet to allow Ava to ring up her own bubblegum. Thanks Mrs. Marie, you made her day!!

Griffin is 18 months and Ava is a Ballerina

My little hunny-bunny is now 18 months old! Griffin is running us ragged but we love his energy and personality. Everyday is a new adventure for him (and for us!). He is very loving and gives great kisses and hugs. He "blows" his hot food off by scrunching up his nose and blowing through it instead of his mouth. He says "Daddy", "Mommy", "Bible", "Uh-oh", "Wa-Wa", "Nigh-Nigh" and something that we assume is "Ava" because he says it all the time. His favorite past time is to follow his sister around and get into her stuff. He loves her purses and make-up, probably because those two items will illicit the loudest screams from her. He can follow directions: take this to the trash, close the door, stand up, give me your hands are a few examples. Griffin also knows when he needs a diaper change and comes to get me. I know that now is the time to really step up the potty-training but frankly, I am not up for the task with all we have going on right now. Maybe in the fall.... Griffin is a joy and a gift to us and we praise the Lord for his abundant blessings upon the Albright family.

Am I biased or is this the sweetest little ballerina? Ava attended Briarwood Ballet Camp last week and loved learning about choreography, props, set design, and the ballets of Spain: Don Quixote and Swan Lake. This was the only camp I could convince her to attend this year and it was definitely worth it! Their performance was wonderful and she was so proud that she made her own props.
